We're thrilled to introduce our special guest today, author Richard Gavin from Canada. He is a renowned  for his works where the uncanny and the divine intersect. His critically acclaimed stories of the eerie and the nightmarish have been compiled in numerous books, including "Grotesquerie", "Sylvan Dread: Tales of Pastoral Darkness", and "At Fear's Altar", just to mention a few. Richard's non-fiction work also embellishes the pages of several journals, including the Rue Morgue magazine and Starfire Journal, as well as Clavis: Journal of Occult Arts, Letters, and Experience. His books, such as "The Benighted Path" and "The Moribund Portal: Spectral Resonance and the Numen of the Gallows", have earned acclaim for their exploration of non-fiction esoterica. His latest book from Theion Publishing is The Infernal Masque.

Mycelium Signal #1: Perennial Pyrenees - With Dr. Martin Locker - Part 1/2 (2024 Remastered Version)

Welcome to the first episode of Tuonen Portti’s new podcast! Most of the upcoming content will be in Finnish but from time to time we will release English content as well. Our first quest is Dr. Martin Locker from the Perennial Pyrenees project. He is a trained archaeologist and researcher living in Andorra with over a decade’s experience in the discipline. Dr. Locker's work has been published in several journals and books. Outside of archaeology, Dr. Locker has for long held a fascination for cultural heritage, mountainous places, and all things rustic. In this interview we cover Andorra's liminal history, folklore, the concept of tribe and Dr. Locker's ethnographic soundscape projects among other topics.
